Flying Friends: A Batpack Companion Project

a partner project to my successful batpack campaign from last year, this project aims to fund a small collection of themed enamel pins to match with your batpack!

the honduran white bat! or bats, rather -- this pin features three of the tiny guys in a couple of lilies!

in case you didnt know, this design is a bit of a rework/callback to a VERY old honduran bat pin design i made in 2016!



i designed this during what was only my second pin project ever, so i'm super happy to get the chance to revisit it! i'll get to work finalizing this pin design over the next few days, & once we get a bit closer i'll put up a poll for the next pin!

were still just under $200 away from unlocking our next stretch goal! id love to get there over the next few days, if we can 🦇🖤

happy saturday, everyone! i hope you're all keeping safe & warm out there. it feels kind of jarring to keep posting about my project when so many awful things have been happening the past few days, but ... here i am! i suppose!

i feel incredibly lucky to be in the privileged position i'm in right now, not currently living in the US. if you're in a similar position, i highly encourage you to take a moment to donate to the minnesota immigrant rights action fund.

now, in terms of the campaign... we're just a little over $200 away from our next stretch goal, which unlocks the batty blind bags + batty blind bags series 2 as add-ons!



additionally, now that the initial 48 hour period has passed, i've added a new pledge tier for those who want to support the project but either 1.) can't afford a pin, 2.) missed the 48 hour sticker, and/or 3.) wanted to get the two previous campaign stickers but haven't pledged to any of my projects before!



this $10 pledge tier includes three stickers & (currently) ships to the US tariff-free! i wanted to give you guys a smaller pledge option since i know Everything Is Kind Of Crazy RN.

good morning, everyone! last night, we reached our third stretch goal and unlocked the hanging bat pin -- one that I know a lot of you were excited for! 🖤🌙



not only did we unlock THREE pins in one day, we also (just barely!) beat my last pintopia project last year for funds raised in the first day! 🥹 i wasnt sure how well pintopia this year would do compared to last year, but you guys blew all my expectations out of the water!

we're now about halfway towards our next stretch goal -- a restock of batty blind bag charms!



these charms were a SUPER popular add-on during the OG batpack campaign, and have been popular at my in-person events & online as well! id love to get them restocked, and to help this goal along, ive also designed an entirely NEW series 2 set of batty blind bag charms that unlock at the same time!

ill have a post detailing more about those new charms later today :)

if we unlock the batty blind bags as an add-on, one blind bag will be added to the batpack merch pack add-on as well!

also, this is just a reminder that we have a little under 24 hours left to pledge if you want to snag the freebie 48 hr backer sticker!



one more thing: I had a request to enable pay over time as an option for the campaign, so ive gone ahead and enabled it now, for anyone who was hoping to have the option! keep in mind that its only available if you spend over $150 USD total between your pledge amount & chosen add-ons.

just one last update for today, I promise -- earlier today we hit $2000 USD, which means that we've unlocked the gold plated dreamy bat design!



wouldnt it be amazing if we could unlock our hanging bat design by the end of today? 🥹 we're just a little over $300 away!



word of mouth is probably the best way for people to find out about the project, so if you know someone who loves bats and/or enamel pins -- spread the word!

WE DID IT, EVERYONE!! in just over 30 minutes, we reached our first project goal & unlocked the rainbow plated marine bat pin! 🎉



our next goal, which we're already 1/3 of the way towards, is the gold plated dreamy bat pin!



while we're all out of spots for the early bird price tier, there's still plenty of time left to pledge if you wanna qualify for the freebie 48 hour sticker!
